Stage 1
Willunga to Willunga
The Women's Tour Down Under opens in Willunga, the home of the iconic hill that has become synonymous with TDU. However, Stage 1 bypasses the famous climb, instead featuring two mid-stage ascents at 53.5km and 95.4km before a short uphill sprint finish. The 475m climb to the finish line (5.6% gradient, 20m elevation) favors punchy sprinters who can power up the modest incline.

When to tune in
A stage for the powerful sprinters who can handle a short uphill finale. Watch for positioning battles on the circuit and attacks from riders who want to test their legs early. Two intermediate sprints at Snapper Point (17.2km and 114km) add bonus opportunities.
