Brighton → Willunga Hill
The longest and hardest day - the iconic queen stage with over 2,500m of climbing. Starting in Brighton, Chandlers Hill comes in the first 15km. Then three ascents of the legendary Willunga Hill: first topping out after 50km, then two more in the final 26km via McLaren Flat and McLaren Vale. A climber's paradise with a summit finish on Australia's most famous cycling climb.

When to tune in
Willunga Hill is TDU's most iconic climb - expect huge crowds lining the road. The triple ascent in 2026 is a new twist on the classic. GC contenders must attack here or lose the race. Race Director O'Grady: 'It's certainly going to be a day for the climbers and the winner will really have to earn it.'
