Stage 2
Norwood → Uraidla
The queen stage of the Adelaide Hills - a true GC shaker with two ascents of the feared Corkscrew Road. Starting in Norwood, riders tempo through Norton Summit and tackle Mount Lofty before the first Corkscrew assault at mid-stage. The second Corkscrew comes with 14km to go, followed by an undulating approach to Uraidla. A downhill run-in offers one last chance for the peloton to catch escapees.

When to tune in
The Corkscrew's 9.7% average gradient is brutal - expect attacks on both ascents. The undulating 14km after the final Corkscrew will test any solo riders' wills. GC contenders will show their cards here. This is where the race for the ochre jersey truly begins.
