Stage 2
Rue - Vucherens
Stage 2 covers 173.1km from the medieval village of Rue to Vucherens, though the two towns are less than 10km apart. The serpentine route passes the finish line early for a trio of circuits, each featuring a third-category climb of Vuillens just after an intermediate sprint in Chapelle. From the final Vuillens summit only 3.8km remain for a fast finish - a classic puncheur's day.

When to tune in
Three passes of Vuillens will whittle down the group, with the final ascent as the launchpad for attacks. The 3.8km from summit to finish is just long enough for determined attackers to stay clear or for a fast reduced sprint. Watch for repeat aggression from classics-style riders looking for a stage win.
